And so my holidays have finally begun, at last! I've been making the most of my time so far, lounging about in my pajamas, finally beginning to read a book and doing some cleaning out of my chock-a-block wardrobes.
The other day I wore one of the latest additions to my mass of clothes: a bright green polo shirt. It's not vintage or anything, but the colour is the most perfect green I've ever seen, and oh so 60's feeling. I wish the lighting in my room wasn't so bad so you could get a more accurate image. I always feel that the outfits photos I post on this blog never really do the clothing items much justice (thanks for putting up with them all!). Anyhoo, I wore it with a houndstooth scarf tucked in and was inspired by our Twig the Wonder Kid of course, in a shot from one of her Twiggy Dresses promotional shoots.

Hmm. Perhaps I should have worn my white tights. Then my outfit would have been even more Twiggy-esque.
That green polo shirt looks great and a good homage to Twiggy. xxx
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Vix.
DeleteThat really is a wonderful shade of green, you look just lovely! You look perfectly Twiggy-esque, and I must say I love how you've styled your hair also. I've always thought your photos show your outfits just fine. I'm never quite happy with mine either, I think we're never happy with our own efforts and notice stuff others don't!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Faye, and I'm very glad that you don't mind the outfit posts. You raise a very good and true point.
Deleteso lovely and genuine style in inspiration ! ♥
ReplyDeleteThat scarf is perfect! I love it so much. Great Twiggy inspired outfit! :D
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm glad you like the scarf! It's the first time I've worn it.
DeleteThat's a lovely outfit, the green adds the perfect amount of color! The whole outfit does look a lot like the picture you featured, too. And your photos are always perfect!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Tessie, I'm so glad you think so!

ReplyDeleteWISH UPON A SMILE
Thank you, it's one of my favourite 1960's vintage pieces.
DeleteLovely outfit Lucy x
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sarah!
Deletei totally see your vision! I love the look, even if the lighting is poor. Though I wonder, you live in lovely Queensland. surely there is enough sunshine and maybe a pretty flowery bush to take your photos against? I'd love to take my photos out near the school across from my house but I don't have a proper tripod...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Catherine. Yes, it is very sunny here most days and I would very much love to take pictures outside in my garden. But to be honest it's a bit overgrown and I don't think would make for the prettiest picture haha! Things would be much easier with a tripod! For a long time the boy's been saying that he'd be happy to take my pictures with his Canon 5D but I'm too shy! I'm hoping to change that however and start making some improvements. We'll see what cooks!
Deleteoh dont be too shy! your perfectly pretty and we all enjoy seeing your outfits. Maybe wear some sunglasses at first!? haha
DeleteI'm so excited that polos are supposed to be coming back! Love your blog - I'm a Beatlemaniac too!
