There is no doubt that I am an avid tea drinker. Each time the boy and I have an outing we will usually come home with yet another new flavour of tea to try. You will never catch me with a hot cup of coffee. I just can't drink the stuff. So I was overjoyed to come across this happy yellow teapot with matching cups and saucers the other day whilst out with the boy. I 'ummed' and 'ahhed' at it for about fifteen minutes, not sure whether to buy it or not. I already have quite a nice little collection of teapots and I certainly wasn't in need of any more. But it was on sale! Finally the boy said "It kind of reminds me of the Yellow Submarine".
Ka-ching went the cash register.
I am very easily swayed when it comes to anything Beatles related, or even reminiscent of the fab four in the absolute slightest for that fact, hence the new teapot. Now perhaps all I need is this neato knick-knack for days when I'm just up for a single cup. Isn't it just swell? There's one added to my Christmas wish list. Fingers crossed!
Title: "Lovely Rita" - The Beatles. Yes I know it's not from the film, but I still thought it was appropriate!
"Happy" does indeed define your new yellow teapot, cup and saucer set, dear Lucy! You have a knack for finding bargains whilst shopping and this fab find is an example. I've a feeling you will discover that yellow submarine stuffed in your stocking this Christmas. Your blog continues to dazzle me with its lush colors and smart layout. Well done, dear Lucy!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that you agree that it's a 'happy' little set! I do try, searching high and low. I hope I do find the tea infuser within my Christmas stocking, and thank you very much!
DeleteOh I love it, it's so jaunty! I love the shape too, I agree that it's style is very Yellow Submarine-esque (and I'm precisely the same, if someone needs to get me to buy something they only need relate it to the Beatles in some way!) The infuser almost makes me want to do away with good old tea bags, I hope you find it under your Christmas tree!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you agree that it is Yellow Submarine-esque. It assures me I'm not going bonkers haha! Glad to hear I'm not the only one when it comes to anything Beatles related too!
Deletethat's the cutest happiest tea pot! And although I drink a lot of coffee, tea is very much my favourite. I have about 6 on the go at the moment. All different so I cant take what the mod dictates. T2 is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes! so very yellow submarine! And the cute little single diffuser is adorable! You should get it!
It brings a smile to my face whenever I looked at it. Having a different flavoured tea for every different mood is a wonderful thing. T2 is brilliant, they've just opened one up locally. The boy and I are going to have to have a little shopping trip there soon!
DeleteI love the curvy lines of the cup and saucer. So cheery!
ReplyDeleteIt is a happy little thing, it has a lot of character, I think!
DeleteSuch a lovely teapot, the colour is great. I'm a big tea drinker too and never drink coffee (can't stand the stuff).
ReplyDeleteGlad that I'm not the only one who can't stand coffee! The only way I can drink it is if it is drowning in cream.
DeleteThat is an adorable teapot, the color is so cheerful! I drink more coffee than I do tea, but one of my favorite things about tea is that all of it can taste so different, so you absolutely have to try it all! Coffee usually tastes pretty much the same to me wherever I get it. And I just love the submarine tea infuser, I hope it finds its way to you on Christmas morning!
ReplyDeleteYes, there are so many different flavours. The latest one we've picked up is pineapple flavoured, would you believe? And I hope so too!
DeleteThat is the coolest thing. I don't drink tea but maybe I would if I had a little yellow submarine!

Thanks, Kati!
DeleteEnjoy the rest of your week.
What a beautiful photo! That knockout yellow is gorgeous, so contemporary. Love the little red birdy on the tea thingy -- What are those called? I should know it because I like to collect them. That one must be from an aussie brand. I was out thrifting the other day and found a darling little china teacup with a rose inside but I set it down and didn't buy it. Boohoo ! I wish I had.
ReplyDeleteps...I NeeD a cup of tea!
Thank you! I'm not quite sure to be honest. I've been calling them 'tags' for my entire life but I'm probably wrong! Yes, it is from an Australian brand, the flavour of tea is cinnamon - one of my very favourites.
DeleteOh, isn't it such a shame when we leave things behind and later regret it! I know that feeling too well!
