Bubble, Bubble

Lush products are something that I've only really started exploring just recently. The main reason for this is that until now, I didn't have a bath tub. Having one available at the boy and I's current living arrangements has been quite lovely, and given me an excuse to purchase and try out lots of Lush goodies, amongst other bath time products, that I've been wanting to for years. I've been spoiling myself with bath bombs and bubble baths and why shouldn't I? I am on holidays after all! So I thought I'd share my favourite bath combination when I'm wanting to unwind after a long day or just spoil myself when I'm feeling a little down in the dumps.

Favourite   Bath   Combination

Rose Jam Bubbleroon - I've been advised before that a quarter of this product is enough to create a substantial amount of bubbles. But personally I crumble the whole thing into the bath. Bubbles through drain pipes aren't a problem as I wait until all the bubbles have gone before pulling the plug. It has such a sweet rose scent and makes the water feel so silky. It also contains oils which are good for the skin, helping to leave it smooth and soft.

Rose Queen Bath Bomb - Some girls like to cut these in half to get more use out of them but again, like the Bubbleroon, I like to spoil myself and chuck the whole thing in. After all, it's one of the smaller bath bombs available. Once it reacts with the water, it disintegrates into a bright pink rose-scented fizz, letting out twirling fragments of hibiscus and lavender flower petals into the water.

Rock Star Soap -  Bright pink like a boiled sweet, it is said that this soap is supposed to have a creamy vanilla scent. I don't know if it's just me, but I instead smell sweet, fizzy sherbet. Howzat!? It smells so good that I could almost eat it and it makes gorgeous pink frothy suds, leaving your skin smelling just lovely.

What are your favourite bath time products?

  1. Mmm, such yummy pastel pink colors! I always think that Lush products look good enough to eat. :)

  2. I love Lush but as I'm on a budget stick to the shampoo and conditioner and solid stick Karma perfume. The bath stuff is lovely but too expensive for normal use, most welcome as a birthday pressie, though! x

    1. The Karma perfume is lovely and I like how they are small enough to keep in your purse - I'm not huge on bottled perfurmes.

To be honest, I completely agree with you! The bath stuff is quite expensive. I rarely spend much on myself cosmetic-wise and I always try to stick to a strict budget. But I've made a little allowance for myself as I've don't have much time left having a bath tub available so I've been trying to make the most of it, trying all those 'dream' products that I've always wanted to, as I know I won't get another opportunity to do so indefinitely.

  3. I've never used anything from Lush as the smell of the shop is so overpowering it puts me off going inside! I can't even stand to walk past it I find the smell that strong (I have a very keen sense of smell and stuff like that really bothers me). I love a good shower though and was recently given some Orla Kiely shower gels which smell divine!

    1. The smell is quite powerful, isn't it? I can't bring my boyfriend into any Lush stores for the same reason. And I imagine the Orla Kiely shower gels to be just lovely!

  4. I'm a really big Lush Fan! My favorite bath product is the karma bubble bar. I love the smell of it (orange and patchouli) and the bright orange colour the water gets.

    1. It's such a refreshing scent, is it not? And being a huge fan of the colour orange - yes!

  5. I've recently become a total Lush convert when I treated myself some of their shampoo for my birthday and it's the best thing that ever happened to my hair! It's so much healthier now. I've switched all of my moisturisers and scrubs to Lush and really noticed a difference. I don't tend to go for much of their bath range as it's so expensive on top of everything else I buy, I just treat myself to a bath bomb now and then. They always do such good things to my skin, and I love to see the colours in the water. It makes me not want to let it drain away! I might have to try the rock star soap, I love sherbet!

    1. Since switching to the scrub I've noticed such a difference too, my skin has improved so much. I haven't tried the shampoo yet but plan to when my current bottles run out.
The colours in the water with the bath products are amazing. I'm the same, I just want to leave the water in to admire the colouring! And yes, the soap is very sherbety!

  6. Oh I love Lush, yum! I get lots given to me as gifts, my favourites are the heady florals, I use the perfume Lust as it makes me weak at the knees and I am a big fan of Flying Fox shower gel xxx

    1. The solid stick perfumes are lovely. I really like the Imogen Rose perfume, and plan to buy a stick of it when my current oil perfume runs out. And I've heard wonderful things about the shower gel!

  7. Oooh these look so nice! We have a bathtub at my house... But it's rather old and I'm not that keen on sitting in it.. If we ever get it replaced I'd definitely love to try some of these products, I have heard tons of wonderful things about them!

    1. It's understandable about the bathtub. It's actually the same reason why I haven't tried any Lush products until now. There was always a bath tub at my family home, but it is never used as it too is quite old.

  8. I loooooooooove Lush! I always keep a stack of Rockstar soap, I can't live without it! I also like to buy a few extra bars to keep in my chest of draws and make all of my clothes smell delicious :) I tried the Herbalism cleanser a few years ago and really liked it, I might have to go get some more.

    1. Doesn't the soap smell amazing? I like the smell of it so much I was actually considering doing the same thing - just keeping the bar in my draw. The Herbalism cleanser is by far my favourite!

  9. I would love to buy Lush bath products, but I don't have a bath tub in my flat (and deeply regret that!)...
