I apologize for the lack of posts lately. I do have good reason for it though - I promise! Anyway, here is another "Three's A Charm" post, the first of my "Seeing Double" series including a male. Here we have Marianne Faithfull, George Harrison and an unknown sixties bird all wearing this nifty little pair of heart shaped shades with gold frames. All look fabulous in them, and you can clearly see how versatile these little shades are, looking snazzy with almost anything. I do have to say however that I think George looks the best. I don't think there are many men in this world that could pull off shades like this!

I'm glad that you like the posts! And I hope you find yourself a pair, they are great for summer.
DeleteThat's right, dear Lucy. George Harrison epitomized cool and he didn't have to try hard to accomplish it. Buoyed by Bowie, male rock stars wore fancy eyeglasses and shades, ornate vests, bell bottom slacks, feminine colors, feather boas - you name it. There is no right or wrong in the trend setting world of rock.
ReplyDeleteI hope your week's going well, dear friend Lucy, and that it will continue to get even better!
You a very right Shady when you say that there is no right or wrong in the trend setting world of rock!
DeleteThank you and take care!
i remember having a pair of pink heart glasses when i was a teenager, and i used to buy these rad heart lollypops a-la Lolita style when i wore them. so many love hearts so many cavities!
ReplyDeleteI hope whats keeping your away is a good thing, no a stressy poo thing! xo
Hahaha in all honestly I would have done the exact same thing! Some good and some stressful, but I am getting there!
DeleteHeart shaped frames are so cool! I'd like to get some for myself one day. I had no idea they were around in the 60's! Love the photos!
ReplyDeleteAren't they? They're pretty cute!
DeleteI love heart shaped frames. I agree with you and think that George wore them the best too - he's definitely cool enough to pull them off.
ReplyDeleteYes, I don't think I can think of any other man from the time that could have worn them as well as George.
DeleteMore people—men and women alike—should put on heart shades. They're sweet looking, and certainly beat those odd plastic sunglasses with the thick neon arms from the 90s that have recently come back into style. ;)
ReplyDeleteI think so too, adorable they are. And I most certainly agree with on that!
DeleteI love it! :) Great vintage and loving vibe :) xo
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'm glad you like it!
DeleteAw, George! :') I can't wait to see what you spot next for these posts!
ReplyDeleteYou gotta love him. I'll be setting another up soon!
DeleteThanks for your kind words on my blog, they sweetened my day!
ReplyDeleteHaha, these look too funny on them!
Have a great week,
-Kati
